Burkina Faso: I’m ready for you.

Having been invited to serve in Burkina Faso for the Peace Corps - a lot is going on in my head - yet, not a lot has been going on outside of my head. I have been going to work - continuing with my volunteering, but it all seems like everything is in slow motion. The days are creeping by without any action.

I am ready to leave. But I still have so much time to sit here and wait.

Some things I still need to do:

  • Send my updated resume and letter of aspiration to the country I’ll be serving: Burkina Faso
  • Pay off my credit-card $850 to go
  • Get out of my lease or find someone to sub-lease 
  • Move out of my apartment by the 11th or 12th of June
  • See ALL of my friends & Family
  • Pack two bags that do not exceed the weight limit of 80lbs combined (no more than 50Ibs each)
  • Get my camera fixed or SOLD
  • Buy a new camera & at least one new lens
